Pippin Hill’s 2015 Chardonnay Reserve recently won a gold medal at the 2017 Monticello Wine Cup Awards. We are so excited about this that we want you to be able to enjoy it as much as we do with the perfect food pairing!

We take our inspiration for our Chardonnay Reserve from Burgundy winemaking techniques.  Aged 10 months in new French oak the result is a wine with complex aromas of lemon balm, honeysuckle and oak.  While there are fruit flavors of apricot and pineapple we also find a touch of vanilla and a comforting finish of caramel and brown butter.

Given the hints of lemon and butter that the Chardonnay Reserve gives, it pairs very well with dishes like chicken or seafood. It also has the ability to cut through a heavier dish like a pasta.

We have three delicious dishes that you can pair with our 2015 Chardonnay Reserve. Executive Chef Bill Scatena work to make sure that each of these dishes pair perfectly with the Chardonnay Reserve to emphasis the unique flavors of the wine and each individual dish. The Roasted Whole Chicken is coated in and Aleppo Chili mixture that gives the dish both spicy and sweet qualities. Our Grilled Oysters give a classic seafood taste paired with an herby butter. The Linguine has a strong base sauce that can be broken down by our Chardonnay Reserve to emphasis the feature flavors of the dish.
