The Monticello AVA wine region boasts a perfect climate for grape growing due to fertile soil and unique topography. In our vineyards on site, you’ll find vines of Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chambourcin, and Vidal Blanc varietals.

We tip our hat to Thomas Jefferson, “America’s first distinguished viticulturist,” and are thrilled to have realized the dream that Mr. Jefferson never achieved—producing world-class wines in his native state. Pippin Hill was among the initial wineries in the region and we are proud to now be one of the 40+ vineyards and wineries on the Monticello Wine Trail—the birthplace of American wine. Our award-winning wines are crafted to reflect the unique terroir of the region and the rich tradition of Virginia winemaking.
