As the culmination of seed and earth and climate, of sun and dirt and vine, wine becomes the distilled essence of a place. The taste and feel of it. That’s why we established Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards right here, on this breathtaking spot overlooking our beloved Blue Ridge Mountains. This is a place where our hearts sing and our vines thrive, and we can’t help but believe those two are connected. And so everything we do at Pippin Hill—from creating an inviting environs for sips or celebrations, to pouring our best wines, to serving the bounty of our garden in the simplest, tastiest way possible—reflects the essence of this special place, a land cultivated with love and care.
Our six-acre vineyard situated on our southern-facing hillside is blessed with ideal soils and climate suited to our varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot and Viognier grapes. Pippin Hill’s vineyard and surrounding gardens are part of Bundoran Farms, a sustainable agricultural community that honors our rural countryside. Our vineyard master, Christopher Hill, is the most experienced and respected viticulture expert in the region.
The Tasting Room at Pippin Hill features artisan cuisine that complements our wines and reflects our vineyard-to-table philosophy. Seasonal ingredients locally-sourced, much of it right here in our Kitchen Garden, star in our kitchen. From shared appetizers to small plates to customized catering menus for your special event, our culinary team excels in showcasing Virginia’s finest ingredients.
Just as our wine and food tells the story of this land, events at Pippin Hill tell your story and reflect your personality and entertaining vision. Weddings are our specialty, and our range of venues, for groups of 20 or 200, were designed with exquisite detail. All events feature Pippin Hill’s award-winning cuisine and wines.
