Scoutology Votes Pippin Hill’s 2013 Sauvignon Blanc to the ten
“Mid-Atlantic White Wines for Summertime.”

We are thrilled that our 2013 Sauvignon Blanc has been recognized with this great honor! Scoutology notes that our “2013 Sauvignon Blanc offers a balanced, nuanced sense of fruit forward with a slight essence of herbs and great nose.” We couldn’t agree more!

IMG_6015Our 2013 Sauvignon Blanc greets you with tropical fruit, pear, and honeydew on the nose. On the palate, a subtle base of fruits with a hint of white flowers and a ghost of jalapeno, give way to a bright dry finish with nice minerality. The marvelous combination of fruit and acidity make this a very enjoyable wine, that pairs easily with food. We recommend pairing this white wine with our Chilled Pea Soup featuring poached shrimp and pickled serrano peppers.

This weekend, we invite you to soak up the sun on our Veranda, or your own home patio, and indulge in this experience, complete with a glass of Pippin’s Sauvignon Blanc in hand.

Check out Scoutology’s complete rankings, with some other Charlottesville favorites highlighted as well! Thanks again, Scoutology!
