You probably know about the expansive vineyards here at Pippin Hill, but unlike many other wineries, we also maintain beautiful gardens carefully crafted to create a distinct, natural elegance that’s perfectly suited for outdoor weddings. Don’t just take our word for it…we were listed as one of the 22 Best Garden Wedding Venues in the World by Harper’s Bazaar !
But what exactly contributes to our lush, floral aesthetic? We truly care about our gardens, and have a full-time certified horticulturist, Diane, on staff at Pippin Hill. Much of the produce on our Tasting Room and special event menus comes straight from the Kitchen Garden. You can literally see the source of the tomatoes, kale, herbs, potatoes, and strawberries (for example) that are on your plate as you eat! It doesn’t get more locally-sourced than that.
Our florals change with the season, promising a unique and unforgettable look on your wedding day. Late spring and early summer are the best times to enjoy our wildflower field, conveniently located steps beyond the ceremony site. Our signature limelight hydrangeas reach peak bloom in late July, and take on a brilliant toasted hue once Autumn comes around.
Of course, you can’t miss the gentle elegance of the vines — our best feature. No winery wedding would be complete without them!
We were so honored to be featured as one of the Best Garden Venues in the World by Harper’s Bazaar, and we hope that you will stop by Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia to experience the power of flowers for yourself. Don’t hesitate to submit an inquiry, and set up a tour to see if Pippin Hill is the right venue for your outdoor wedding.
