Our farm partners provide us with all sorts of fresh, local ingredients that make our food incredible. We were wowed when Horse and Buggy Produce showed up with these oyster mushrooms for one of our wedding dinners. The mushrooms came from a local couple, just 10 minutes away in Nelson County
Oyster mushrooms can be purple, gray, or yellow, as these are. To cook, season with salt, pepper, and olive oil, then roast or grill the whole bunch. They go great with meats and fall root vegetables. We served them atop our lavender-crusted lamb chops – yum!
