There’s something about the spring season that gets us all excited. Whether it’s the first sign of your neighbor’s lemonade stand, the grand-opening of a local pool or the thought of relaxing afternoons spent in the sunshine — everyone can identify the feeling of Spring Fever.

On the food front, we yearn for the fruits and veggies so emblematic of the season; with ramps and rhubarb at the forefront here on The Hill. But, surprisingly enough, seafood is just as influenced by the changing weather.

So, what’s our point? ‘Tis the season for the return of Pippin Hill’s soft-shell crab,
and we couldn’t be more excited.

That’s right, it’s time to ditch the claw crackers, forget the frustration of shucking, and delve right into this highly anticipated treat. These prized critters come directly to you from the Chesapeake Bay and let us just say, the crispy exterior is an experience all on its own. This seafood delicacy features an array of flavors from sweet soy to spicy aioli, every bite will leave you wanting more.
