With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Andrews' background in the international hotel operations and development brings expertise to the organization. He established and operated hotels, resorts and restaurants including properties in the US, Caribbean, French Polynesia and Mexico.

Lynn Easton Andrews

Lynn Easton Andrews

Principal and President of Easton Events

As the founder of Easton Events, Ms. Andrews has built the leading event planning and design company in the mid-Atlantic. She directed Pippin Hill's design to ensure the event venue will be the premiere facility in Virginia. She has produced important events for Fortune 500 corporations, non-profit organizations, and top-level social clients. Lynn's expertise is in orchestrating "high-touch" events that require maximum attention to detail.

Michael Shaps

Michael Shaps

Partner - Virginia Wineworks

Michael Shaps is the founder of Virginia Wineworks. He has been making wine for 18 years, the past fourteen in Virginia and Meursault, France. In Virginia, Michael was the winemaker at Jefferson Vineyards for 6 years before leaving to start his winery-consulting firm and to produce wines under the Michael Shaps label. The Michael Shaps award winning wines have been recognized by several regional and national publications as some of the best wines made in Virginia.

Vineyard Consultant

Vineyard Consultant Chris Hill has over 30 years of experience in the vineyard and wine industry. Mr. Hill is experienced in all phases of vineyard establishment and management and is a well-known figure in the Virginia vineyard and wine industry, where he has served on the Board of Virginia Vineyard and Winery Associations.

Whitney Walker

Whitney Walker

Director of Marketing and Sales

Ms. Walker joined Pippin Hill Farm from Sotheby's - New York, where she was the administrator of their Modern & Contemporary Prints department. She handled the organization and co-ordination of key auctions, with over 2,500 Master Works sold, as well as managing hundreds of client relationships. She is a UVA graduate and is heading up Pippin Hill Farm's marketing, public relations and sales efforts.

Amalia Scatena

Amalia Scatena

Executive Chef

Chef Scatena graduated with Head Chef honors from the Culinary Institute of Florence, Italy. She completed her apprenticeship under Chef Melissa Close at Barboursville Vineyard's Palladio restaurant in Virginia. Most recently, she worked as Chef de Cuisine at Keswick Hall, where Chef Craig Hartman was her mentor. During her tenure, Keswick was awarded the #1 Small Resort in America by Conde Nast Traveler, and was named #1 Hotel in North America for Food by the same publication.

Charlotte Drummond

Charlotte Drummond

Financial Controller

An administrative professional with over 30 years of experience in accounting and data management, Charlotte Drummond keeps the financial picture at Pippin Hill Farm in sharp focus and our valuable staff and vendors paid and happy. With a BA in Social Work from UNC-Charlotte in 1977 and many years in organizational management, she has been with with Pippin Hill from infancy. Charlotte came to us by way of Washington, DC, Palo Alto, CA, and the United Kingdom where, variously, she managed a financial services firm, subscription services for an international medical publication, women's shelters, and an American restaurant in London, among other ventures.

Kelly Knox

Kelly Knox

Associate Director of Marketing and Sales

Ms. Knox is a recent Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Barnard College of Columbia University. Her degree in Russian Regional Studies adds a unique perspective to the Pippin team and her interest in event management is an asset to the sales department.

Melanie Anderson

Melanie Anderson

Director of Operations

Ms. Anderson joined Pippin Hill Farm from Charlottesville's Farmington Country Club where she was the head of their banqueting department. Previously, as the catering director for a large, regional company, she managed the daily operations and constant challenges of a large operation with poise. Ms. Anderson brings a wealth of experience from the club and food & beverage industry. Her passion for meeting new people and enthusiasm for all things food and wine shines through in her roll as Director of Operations.
